Devina Vassileva

Devina Vassileva is a screenwriter, film director, and actress. She received the "Modern and Contemporary Vision" award at the Golden Rose National Film Festival for her debut short film “FriDgid” (2021), which was also the “most-watched short film of 2021” on the Bulgarian short film platform “No Blink”. Her other films include “The Pen” (2024) and “In Sickness and in Health” (2024), the latter winning the “Audience Award for Best Children's Film” at the Drama Film Festival in Greece. She is the co-founder of “SNOP Films” and marketing manager at Sofia DocuMental Festival.

She holds a BA in English Literature and Theatre from Queen Mary University of London (2021) and specialized in Screen Acting at Identity School of Acting in London (2020). She is currently completing her MA in Film and Television Directing at New Bulgarian University, with her short film “Privy”, supported by the “National Culture Fund Bulgaria”.
